Y’all – it was about time Mi Amor and I went for a date! It had been months since we had done anything just the two of us. So for his birthday weekend, I planned a bunch of fun activities for us to enjoy over two days.

On Saturday we made plans to spend the afternoon in San Antonio, then head back to New Braunfels for a little surprise outing after dinner. So with three different activities ahead, I knew I needed to make the most of my outfits! With my current favorite jeans as the staple, I have three outfits ahead to help you go from cute to fab to cool all in one day.
First on our little birthday celebration was some much needed retail therapy. We were going to head over to La Cantera in San Antonio but decided to hit up another smaller mall which had no traffic. I couldn’t believe how empty the place was! It would have been totally different at La Cantera because it is such a fabulous place. Nearly 100 degrees and I was happy not to shop outdoors!
I paired one of my favorite tops with my must-have jeans. I love this particular style of jeans because (as you’ll see later) you can dress them up or down so easily and they are so flattering for my body shape. Comfortable and sexy, with pockets lower on the booty to enhance any girl’s look! 🙂
We enjoyed walking around the mall like a couple of teenagers in the 90’s. I scored an adorable dress at Rue 21. I’ve mentioned before how much I dig junior plus sizes – they always fit so well for being a petite curvy girl. We also snagged a few awesome sales at Macy’s (love a good deal, hubby got some shorts for $10!). Then we headed over to our extravagant dinner.
I haven’t mentioned this before, but we decided to try a new way of eating and have been on the Keto diet for nearly a month now. I am so happy! I am feeling great and we are enjoying some new recipes. So with that I decided to take Mi Amor to one of the best places for a fancy night out, Keto style: a churrascaria. Meat upon meat, plus lots of delicious salads, cheeses and antipasto….perfection!
I dressed up my Universal Thread jeans with an animal print top and blush heels. I love how the ripped jeans keep it casual, and the heels add a fierce yet feminine touch to my outfit. Perfect for endless meat!
After dinner we headed to TJ Maxx (did I mention I love shopping?!), Starbucks and then back to New Braunfels for a little surprise for my hubby!
I love being a tourist in our own town, and living here only a month there are plenty of choices out there. Mi Amor had never played mini golf so I decided to hit up our beautiful, famous park and play a round of golf on their course. It was a perfect end to our evening!
We quickly changed out of our tops and I paired those awesome jeans with a fun Texas tank I actually picked up at Wal-Mart the night before. I love anything that shares my pride in being Latina or Texan, and this top was perfect, cool and comfortable for a HOT humid Texas night on the green.
We had an amazing day out while BabyCoolJ enjoyed his grandparents at home. And I had a blast putting together my outfits for the outing!
What did you do on your last date night?
